The North India tour starts off with Delhi, a jewel of a city. You explore its lustrous locations like Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutab Minar, all with a history of their own. Incidentally, if you haven’t ever traveled in rickshaws, then you will do exactly that traveling through jam-packed streets of Chandni Chowk.

Then, you will be transported through time to the ancient city of Jaipur. Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds beckons you along with City Palaces, Bazaars and Marketplaces. Translate your memories of ancient Rajput’s into reality by visiting Fort Amer, their historic capital. Watch out for rides on elephant backs throughout the historic fortresses.

Thereafter, travel to Agra through the ruined city of Fatehpur Sikri. Agra is home to the fabulous Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Taj Mahal at sunset or at full moon is a captivating sight. Also visit Sikandra and Agra Fort. Sikandra is the tomb of Akbar, the powerful Mughal emperor and Fort Sikandra houses private chambers of Shah Jehan.

The Shatabdi Express will transport you to Jhansi where the magnificent Ram raja and Chaturbhuj Temples alongside Jehangiri Palace present themselves in Orchha. You travel onwards to Khajuraho and drink the splendors of the Khajuraho temples filled with unique architecture and sculpture reflecting sublimity and sensuality.

You fly to the ancient city of Varanasi where you look at magnificent stupas and stone pillars erected by the famous emperor Ashoka. You will become one with sacred river Ganges and see the lovely sunrise from it. Day 01 : Delhi

Late night arrival in Delhi and be met by our representative at the airport welcoming you to India with fresh flower garlands. Transfer to the hotel for immediate occupancy of the rooms already reserved for you.

Day 02 : Delhi

Today explore the city of Delhi visiting Red Fort and thereafter a rickshaw drives up to Jama Masjid through the busy streets of Chandni chowk. Thereafter continue to visit India Gate and Govt. Buildings, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutab Minar. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 03 : Jaipur

Travel by good roads to Jaipur reaching by lunch time ( 260 kms 6 hrs. drive). Afternoon city tour to see the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), the ancient 18th century Observatory, the huge City Palace, Markets and Bazaars. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 04 : Jaipur

Early morning visit to the Fort of Amer which was the capital of ancient Rajput’s. Ride up to the gates on elephant back and explore the great fortress palace buildings. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 05 : Agra

In the morning continue by road via the superb, ruined city of Fatehpur Sikri to Agra ( 240 kms 6 hrs.). In the evening visit the exquisite Taj Mahal and relish the spectacular sight at sunset. Overnight in Agra.

Day 06 : Agra

Full day city tour of Agra. Visit Sikandra, the tomb of the great Mughal Emperor Akbar, the Agra Fort with private chambers of Shahjahan. You will also have the chance to visit the shops of marble inlay and observe craftsmen at inlay work. Overnight in Agra.

Day 07 : Orchha

Early morning transfer to railway station to board Shatabdi Express train to Jhansi. Visit Orchha (20 kms) where you see the Ram raja Temple and the Chaturbhuj Temple and also witness murals at Jehangir palace. Overnight at Orchha.

Day 08 : Khajuraho

In the morning drive from Orchha to Khajuraho (180 kms-4 hrs. drive). In the afternoon visit the Khajuraho temples. These temples were built between 9th century and 12th century A.D. and are the most exquisite specimen of Hindu architecture and sculpture in medieval India. Though erotic sculptures are the main attraction to common visitor, these erotic figures are only part of sublime and sensuality. Overnight in Khajuraho.

Day 09 : Varanasi

Transfer to airport for flight to Varanasi. In the afternoon excursion to Sarnath - 10 kms from Varanasi, one of the major Buddhist centers. Look at magnificent stupa and mighty stone pillar erected by the legendry king Ashoka. Overnight in Varanasi.

Day 10 : Varanasi - Delhi

Early morning boat ride in the river Ganges to apprise you of the various Hindu rituals taking place at the bathing ghats, also witness the wonderful sunrise from the river Ganges. On the way back you will visit the Bharat Mata temple, the exteriors of Vishwanath temple and the Durga temple in the holy city of Varanasi. Early evening proceeds to the airport to connect flight for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi transfer to the international airport to connect flight back home.
