Day 01 : Delhi
The Royal Orient train tour begins in Delhi, the vibrant capital of India. Get ready to experience the rich heritage and culture of two of the country's most captivating states—Rajasthan and Gujarat! The journey kicks off from Delhi Cantonment Railway Station at approximately 3:00 PM. Settle in, enjoy evening tea and dinner on board, and spend the night in the comfort of this luxurious train.
Before you board the Royal Orient, you have the option to explore Delhi on a short sightseeing tour. As one of India’s most culturally dynamic cities, Delhi has witnessed the rise and fall of many empires over the centuries. Highlights of this historic city include the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Old Fort, Raj Ghat, India Gate, Parliament House, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple, and Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Day 02 : Chittorgarh/Udaipur
The first stop on the Royal Orient train journey is the historic city of Chittorgarh in Rajasthan. The train arrives at Udaipur early in the morning, from where you’ll set off to explore Chittorgarh—an iconic city steeped in history and once the proud capital of the former Rajput kingdom of Mewar. Known for its tales of valor, romance, and sacrifice, Chittorgarh is a symbol of Rajput pride.
The highlight of your visit is the magnificent Chittorgarh Fort, perched atop a 180-meter high hill and spread across 240 hectares. This majestic fort reflects the bravery and cultural richness of the Rajputs. Within its walls lie several attractions, including the revered Kalika Mata Temple and the towering Vijay Stambh, or Tower of Victory, built by Maharana Kumbha to celebrate his triumph over Mohammed Khilji.
Your morning begins with a guided tour of Chittorgarh Fort, followed by a hearty breakfast served onboard the train. The journey then continues to Udaipur, another jewel in Rajasthan’s crown, known for its breathtaking beauty and royal heritage.
The Royal Orient arrives in Udaipur around noon. Upon arrival, you’ll check into a hotel for lunch before embarking on an afternoon sightseeing tour of the city. Explore the majestic City Palace, the serene waters of Lake Pichola, the elegant Sahelion Ki Bari, the tranquil Fateh Sagar Lake, and the beautifully carved Jagdish Temple.
After the tour, you’ll return to the Royal Orient train to continue your journey towards Mehsana. Enjoy dinner onboard and spend another restful night in the luxury and comfort of the Royal Orient.
Day 03 : Junagarh/Veraval
On the third day of the Royal Orient train journey, you'll visit the historic cities of Junagarh and Veraval. Junagarh, steeped in history, is home to several notable landmarks including the ancient Ashokan Rock Edicts dating back to the 3rd century BC, the Darbar Hall Museum, and the grand Mausoleum of Nawab Mahabat Khanji.
The next stop is Veraval, a coastal town located just 6 kilometers from the sacred city of Somnath. Once a fortified port town belonging to the royal family of Junagarh, Veraval now forms part of Gujarat’s Junagarh District.
From Veraval, you'll set out on a memorable visit to Somnath. The highlight of this excursion is the renowned Somnath Temple, an iconic shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, majestically situated on the shores of the Arabian Sea.

Day 04 : Sasangir/Dilwara
The Royal Orient departs from Veraval early in the morning and makes its way to Sasan Gir, home to the famous Gir National Park. This sanctuary is the last remaining natural habitat of the majestic Asiatic lion, making it a truly unique wildlife experience. Enjoy an early breakfast onboard before heading out for a guided tour of the Gir Lion Sanctuary, where you’ll have the chance to spot these rare and powerful creatures in their natural environment.
After your wildlife adventure in Gir, the train continues its journey toward Dilwara. This scenic destination offers a mix of colonial charm and coastal beauty. Key attractions include the historic St. Paul’s Church, the imposing Diu Fort, and the serene Ahmedpur-Mandvi Beach. Conclude your day with a delicious dinner onboard and enjoy another restful night aboard the luxurious Royal Orient train.

Day 05 : Palitana/ Sarkhej
On the fifth day of your journey, the Royal Orient train takes you to the spiritually rich towns of Palitana and Sarkhej. Begin your day with breakfast onboard before heading out to explore the renowned Jain temples at Shatrunjaya Hills. These exquisite temples, built in the traditional North Indian architectural style, are considered among the holiest pilgrimage sites for Jains and offer a breathtaking view from atop the hill.
Following your visit to Palitana, the tour continues to Sarkhej, where you'll experience the charm of rural India at Vishalla village. Known for preserving age-old traditions and customs, Vishalla offers a rare glimpse into authentic village life, untouched by modern influences. From Sarkhej, your journey proceeds by bus to Ahmedabad, bringing you closer to the heart of Gujarat's vibrant culture.

Day 06 : Ahmedabad
From Sarkhej, passengers will be transported to Ahmedabad by bus. Ahmedabad, one of Gujarat's most prominent cities, is also a major industrial hub. After breakfast, a guided sightseeing tour of the city will commence. Key attractions include the Adalaj Stepwell, Gandhi Ashram, Calico Museum of Textiles, and Sidi Sayyad's Mosque. In addition to sightseeing, visitors can enjoy shopping for local handicrafts and souvenirs. Once the exploration of Ahmedabad is complete, the Royal Orient Train proceeds to its next destination—Jaipur. Known as the Pink City, Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan.
Day 07 : Jaipur
On the seventh day of the tour, the Royal Orient Train arrives in Jaipur, famously known as the Pink City. Breakfast will be served on board, and upon disembarking, you'll begin a guided sightseeing tour of this vibrant and historic city. Renowned for its rich culture and heritage, Jaipur is considered one of the most beautiful cities in India.
Major tourist attractions include the iconic Hawa Mahal, the remarkable Jantar Mantar, the grand City Palace, the serene Birla Temple, and the imposing forts of Jaigarh, Nahargarh, and Amber.
The Hawa Mahal, a five-storied architectural marvel, features numerous small windows and latticed screens with arched roofs, offering a stunning panoramic view of Jaipur. Another highlight is the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the visionary founder of Jaipur. A scholar and keen astronomer, he constructed this site to observe celestial movements. The name ‘Jantar Mantar’ is derived from the Sanskrit words Yantra Mantra, meaning ‘instruments and formulae.’
The City Palace, also built by Sawai Jai Singh II, showcases a harmonious blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The palace complex includes an array of courtyards, gardens, and grand structures that reflect the royal heritage of the region.
Your Jaipur experience begins with a memorable elephant ride up to the majestic Amber Fort, followed by visits to the city’s other key landmarks.
