Continue to Bharatpur’s Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a true paradise for birders, home to over 370 species, including the elusive sarus crane, painted storks, and winter migratory waterfowl. A cultural interlude in Agra allows you to marvel at the Taj Mahal, before returning to Delhi and then venturing into the Himalayan foothills. Corbett National Park, India’s oldest tiger reserve, offers rich mixed habitats that attract over 600 bird species — from great hornbills to the endangered ibisbill.
Head next to Nainital, nestled in the Kumaon Hills, where cool forests and high-altitude lakes provide sightings of Himalayan species like the koklass pheasant, cheer pheasant, and Himalayan griffon. Return again to Corbett to deepen your birding exploration with a focus on lesser-visited zones, and conclude the journey back in Delhi with a heart full of bird calls, photos, and pristine memories.
